Originally from Sweden, ASB graduated from Beckman's College of Design in Stockholm with a BA in fashion design. She moved to London to complete an MA in womenswear at St'Martins College of Art & Design (graduating 1998) and remains in London today.
ASB worked as a designer for Joe Casely Hayford in London and various brands in Sweden while she acted as contributing fashion editor for Self Service and Purple magazines in Paris and Dazed and Confused in London. ASB styled the Spring Summer 2001 Miu Miu campaign with photographer Anders Edstrom.
She continues to contribute to Dazed & Confused and Self Service magazines.
In October 2001, ASB debuted her own prêt-a-porter collection at the Purple institute in Paris and after four seasons participating in the Paris shows, began showing in London during London Fashion Week. Her first show in London appeared on the front cover of The Independent newspaper the following day. She has received critical acclaim for her collections to date with editorials appearing in Italian Vogue, Self Service, Dazed and Confused and Ryuko Tsushin.
Commercially she has achieved success in Japan and has other high profile stockists throughout the world. ASB has taken part in group design and art shows that span London's ICA and the Victoria and Albert Museum as well as Paris' Palais de Tokyo and the Musee de la Mode de la Ville de Paris. Her work was included in the 'Reshape' show, featured on the official schedule of 2003's
Venice Biennale. And in 2005 she participated in Another Magazine’s prestigious Dress Art exhibition.
In February 2005 ASB debuted on the official London Fashion Week calendar enabling her to present her ideas to a wider audience. ASB also launched a second line called Back for 2005. This was very well received worldwide and earned ASB the "Best designer 2004" award from Elle magazine Back in Sweden.
