A`N'D

Azumi and David both went to Central St. Martins College of Art & Design but met in a coffee shop in May 1995.
"Since we met we have been making artist books and art multiples (hand made books, magazines and art objects) and sold them in specialist art book shops and gallery shops such as Liberty's and the ICA book shop..."
They've also done "Art Graffiti"
"We left some social commentary poems in public phone boxes... We typed a poem and contact numbers on £5.00 notes and waited for some reply - from anybody... We left an A1 size social poem on a poster in Piccadilly Circus... And we put up anti-war A3 size posters around London... We put an art advert (itself is as an art act) in the Loot Newspaper..."
And let's not forget their "Art Performances"
"We slept in Serpentine Gallery while Tilda Swinton was doing an art performance...We did a stand up speech in The Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park, London... We wore sandwich boards with a social poem and walked all around London including the Tate Gallery..."
Launched A`N'D label in April 1999.
"Partly, we've been making art objects. We looked for places to exhibit and sell, we took some pieces to The Pineal Eye, London.
Since the A/W 2002-3 season, twice a year, we held showrooms in Paris during Paris Fashion Week, and presentations during London fashion Week."
A`N'D stands for Azumi and David, and also for Art & Design.
"Each product of ours has its own concept so A`N'D also stands for the idea of producing a product continuously...and...and...and..."
